Writing is like the thread that weaves my life together. I've been journalling as a means of making sense of my world since I was six with a sparkly pen and a key locked diary. I was the literary director for my high school lit magazine Elan. I've read poetry at Take Back the Night Marches. I was a regular member of Austin Roulette Readings at Malvern Books. I have found inspiration and guidance through The Artist's Way and Natalie Goldberg's zen writing retreats and workshops. With the birth of my daughter in 2009 I pledged to also "give birth to myself" by starting a personal blog online that eventually became Rambling Roads and now rises once again like a phoenix in its present form. My hope is that by finding my own voice in the wilderness, I can find and amplify the voices of other's as well. I hope you too will add your voice to this magical quilt.
